The Course Wiki

Owen and Helina's Totally Excellent Guide to the Wiki! Now with a few updates in the image and ftp section.

Four Ways to Use the Wiki

1. Use the Index Pages
These pages are indexes that include the lessons, who made 'em, and a brief abstract to tell you what it is about.
Units | Composition | English Drama Lessons | Integrated | Language | Novels | Media | Poetry | Reading | Short Stories
NOTE: All "unit plans" will be placed into the most appropriate categories as well as the Unit page.

2. Use the Category Tags
Every wiki page has been tagged with one or more "categories" that automatically lists it on one or more of the category pages, accessible from the "Categories" link on the menu at the top of the screen. Some pages have more than one category (specifically units).

3. Search the Lessons by Author
Most people have a biopage that lists the lessons they have created. You can find a person's bio page by going to CategoryBio, or by clicking on their username whereever it is found.

4. Google the Site
In the google search box, simply prepend your search with "site:http://wiki.elearning.ubc.ca/tela∞"
For instance, if i am looking for the lesson on persuasive speech, i google "site:http://wiki.elearning.ubc.ca/tela∞ persuasive" and there it is persuasive See the result by clicking here.
